Directions to Whimsy Brook Farm

From Westport on Route 57/53/Newtown Turnpike
Take Rt. 57 past the Weston Center on your left where it joins with Rt. 53 and Newtown Tpk. Pass the town schools, making NO turns and continue to the reservoir. At the intersection after the reservoir bridge, continue straight on Newtown Tpk. Go 2 miles to your second right, Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, #29 with a sign.

From Wilton/Georgetown
Take Rt 107 to the large stop sign at the bottom of the hill. Take a switchback right-hand turn onto Rt 53 and follow 1 mile to the T-intersection at the reservoir. Turn left onto Newtown Turnpike. Go 2 miles to your second right, Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, #29 with a sign.

From Danbury
Take Route 53 to the Redding Road House Restaurant. Bear left at the stop sign, staying on Rt. 53 and go 1 mile to the T-intersection at the reservoir. Turn left onto Newtown Turnpike. Go 2 miles to your second right, Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, #29 with a sign.

From Bethel
Take Route 58 past Putnam Park to a four-way intersection with a white Epsicopal Church. Turn right onto Cross Highway and go a short distance to the blinker light. Turn left onto Newtown Turnpike. Take your third left, Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, #29 with a sign.

From Bridgeport/ Fairfield
Take Route 58 past the Parkway, the HiHo Motel, the intersection with 136, and the Blue Bird Inn. Approximately 10 miles from the Parkway turn left immediately past the Spinning Wheel Inn onto Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is ¾ of a mile, #29 on the right, with a sign.

From New York on Interstate 84
Take Exit #3 and follow signs to Route 7. In Branchville, turn left onto route 107. Go approximately five miles to the first large stop sign, and make a switchback right-hand turn onto Route 53. Go 1.0 mile to a T- intersection at the reservoir. Turn left onto Newtown Turnpike. Go 2.0 miles and take your 2nd right onto Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, #29 with a sign.

From Hartford on Interstate 84
Take Exit 10, Sandy Hook, turn right off the ramp onto Church Hill. At the Flag Pole, turn left onto Route 25. At the light at the next intersection turn right onto Route 302. Follow through three lights, turning left onto Route 58. Turn right onto Cross Highway at the 4-way stop with a white Episcopal Church across the intersection. Go a short distance to the blinker light, and turn left onto Newtown Turnpike. Take your 3rd left onto Giles Hill Rd. The Farm is the 3rd place on the left, # 29 with a sign.

From Interstate 95
Take Exit 17, Saugatuck, Westport, and turn left off the ramp. At the 2nd light go straight onto Riverside Avenue. Take Riverside Avenue across US 1, turning right at the light onto King's Highway. At the 2nd light, turn left onto Route 57. Bear left at the Y-intersection by Day Break Nursery onto Route 57 (Weston Road), and go under Merrit Parkway. Making no turns, pass the Weston Center on your left where Rt 57 joins with Route 53 and Newtown Turnpike. Continue straight, (do not turn left at Cobb's Mill) and go down around the reservoir. At the bridge, continue straight, now only on Newtown Turnpike. Continue two miles to Giles Hill Road, which is the second left after the bridge. The Farm is the third place on the left, ¼ mile up Giles Hill, #29 on the right.

From New Haven on the Merrit Parkway
Get off Exit 44, onto the Black Rock Turnpike, Route 58. Turn left off the ramp, and then right at the light onto Route 58, driving past the HiHo Motel. Take Route 58 to the Spinning Wheel Inn. Immediately past the Spinning Wheel Inn, turn left onto Giles Hill Road (steep, narrow, downhill.) Follow ¾ mile to Whimsy Brook Farm, #29 on the right.

From New York on the Merrit Parkway
Get off Exit 42, Westport/Weston, onto Route 57. Turn right off the ramp, and pass under the Merritt Parkway. Making no turns, pass the Weston Center on your left where Rt 57 joins with Route 53 and Newtown Turnpike. Continue straight, (do not turn left at Cobb's Mill) and go down around the reservoir. At the bridge, continue straight, now only on Newtown Turnpike. Continue two miles to Giles Hill Road, which is the second left after the bridge. The Farm is the third place on the left, ¼ mile up Giles Hill, #29 on the right.
